Health and Wellness
A yes on Prop 1 helps Shoreline stay healthy and active. A community pool provides year-round access to low-impact exercise, therapeutic water activities, and recreational swimming that benefits people of all ages and abilities.
Safety and Drowning Prevention
A yes on Prop 1 means access to affordable, year-round swim instruction here in Shoreline. Drowning is the #1 cause of preventable death for children ages 1 to 4. Today, Shoreline families either leave the city or pay private companies for swim lessons.

Community Connection
A yes on Prop 1 will help strengthen our community. A public pool is a shared space where neighbors meet, families gather, and friendships form. It is one of the few places where people of all backgrounds come together around a common experience.
Community Swim
A yes on Prop 1 will allow us to build and operate a home pool for community swim teams. Currently, Shorecrest and Shorewood high school swim teams and the Cascade Swim Club practice at private outdoor pools. The beloved Shoreline Gators, the affordable summer swim team that was disbanded will have a home again.
Active For Life
A yes on Prop 1 is an investment in the future of Shoreline. From toddler swim classes to senior water aerobics, a community aquatic center serves residents of all ages and abilities.
Equity and Access
A yes on Prop 1 ensures that every Shoreline resident — regardless of income — has access to swimming, fitness, and water safety education. Private pools and club memberships are not options for everyone. This pool is for all of us.
